Rules

Thank you for your interest in participating! Now there are some guidelines for sign-ups:

  • ESL teams ranked 6th and higher will not be allowed to sign up for this tournament. The standings of the previous month will be used when enforcing this policy.

  • Players on the starting roster one of these teams must wait one month from dissociation to register with a team in the Crisis Classic.

  • An individual player can only win one weekly event per month.

  • Teams with 5 players can sign up for the first available spot. Once a team is eliminated from a weekly event, they can sign up in the next vacant spot.

  • In the first month of competition (May), a team can only register for a reserve spot in the following week.

  • To sign up, send an email to crisisclassic@gmail.com with your team name, and roster of 5-6 players to be added to the list. An organizer will respond to you with your date(s) at their earliest convenience.

If you a date does not work for your team, notify an organizer as soon as possible so adjustments can be made.

  • Roster adjustments may be made up till 6am Est the day of the event. If your roster changes, submit the change immediately.

  • European and South American players/teams may register, but they must follow the same guidelines stated above.

Match Day:

  • Be ready for check-in at 7:30pm Est on your night to play. If your team does not check in, we will replace you with one of the reserve teams of that night.

You need at least two to represent you online at 7:30pm Est. All players must be accounted for by 7:45pm.

If a player can not make it at the last minute, you are allowed to sub in a maximum one player not on the original roster for that night.

  • All matches will have a draft. First pick will be determined by a coin flip carried out by the coordinator of the lobby. You must tell the coordinator the order in which you want your players for draft.

If a member of a team does not have enough champions to draft, there will be a “chat draft”.

If there is a bug with draft, the player affected should drop out of the game so it will be reformed with same picks/bans up to that point. If it happens a second time, the rest of the draft will be carried out in chat.

Prizes!:

  • Weekly prizes will be an Infinite Crisis skin and champion code for each member of the winning team. You will be able to pick one of the 3-4 skins available that week as a prize individually.

  • Monthly prizes are currently valued at 2000 CC per player of the winning team.

We want to make sure you have the best experience possible when playing in the Crisis Classic. In order to make this happen, we ask you to understand the few rules here in this section.

  • Global Bans: If there is ever a game breaking bug with an item or champion, they will be banned from the event until fixed.

  • Items: None at this time.

  • Champions:  None at this time.

Disconnects, Hardware Failure and Emergency Departures:

If something goes wrong, try to return to the game as soon as possible. If a player can not return to a match, the policy appropriate to the time of the match when the issue occurred.

  • 0-5 minutes: If an issue arises during this time, and the opposing team has no significant advantage, the game will be remade with the same champion and stolen power picks upon request. This may happen once in a series without proof of the issue, and will not count against the affected team.

  • 5-15 minutes: If an issue arises in this time, and the opposing team has no significant advantage, the game will be remade with the same champion and stolen power picks upon request. This may only happen once in a series with a single team.

  • 15+ minutes: If an issue arises past the 15 minute mark, the administrators present will decide how it affected the game, and whether the game should be remade.

In all cases, if a player needs to be replaced, a team has 10 minutes to do so. If they do not have a replacement figured out in 10 minutes, they forfeit that match.

  • Player Conduct: Treat your fellow players with the utmost respect in lobby and in match. If there is any harassment or inappropriate behavior in match, take a screenshot and submit it to the coordinator(s) present that night. We reserve the right to prohibit problematic individuals from playing if needed.

First Month:

The first month be a pilot for the event. There will be 1 showcase bo3 between 2 teams on Friday nights at 8pm Est. The current planned start date is May 8th. This will give me time to iron out all the rules, get sign ups into full swing, and get all the proper exposure for the tournament. The first month's final will be a 4 team double elimination.

Expansion: Once this gets past the pilot month, and there is ample interest, it will expand to 4 teams a week. It will still be first come, first serve random generation. The weekly showcase will be bo1 then bo3. At least for a couple of months, the 4 team tournament will be the finals. Once we get things on a roll, 2 bo3 weeklies into a bracket final tournament is something I would not mind seeing if that is what people want.
